I remember it was a highly unpopular change and everybody predicted a disaster. Despite that success the metric measures have been introduced in the worst possible way here.&lt;br&gt;

The use of two sets of units is very misleading for the food shopper. There is a good summary of some common problems http://www.ukma.org.uk/Practical/shopping/unfriendly.htm .
